About Kim
Kim Halfhill is a speaker, facilitator, and consultant who helps mission-driven organizations and coalitions build stronger teams, clarify shared priorities, and move from intention to implementation. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on strategic planning, leadership development, volunteer engagement, and collaborative process design.
Volunteering is part of Kim’s life story. She grew up watching her parents give their time to local organizations, and she has spent her career working alongside nonprofits and community coalitions. She has seen the good, the inspiring, and the challenging parts of the work up close. This experience has shaped her belief that nonprofits and community organizations mend the frayed edges in the fabric of our communities and fill the gaps that the public and private sectors cannot meet alone.
Kim serves as a faculty member and mentor for the Communities of Resilience and Excellence (C.O.R.E.) National Learning Collaborative, supporting communities working to improve quality of life outcomes. Locally, she serves on the board of ACT Missouri and participates in coalition work through Excelsior Springs SAFE.
She holds degrees from Mercer University and the University of West Florida, where her graduate research centered on leadership and volunteer engagement. Originally from Florida, Kim now lives near Kansas City, Missouri, with her family.
